PATIENT INFORMATION
Why choose an orthodontist?
First Orthodontic Visit
Not only is your first appointment at Warren Orthodontics free, but it’s also fun and informative! We are absolutely dedicated to making sure you leave our office after your appointment feeling excited and confident about your or your child’s orthodontic treatment. During your first appointment, you will meet our team, and we will gather information to learn about your or your child’s health history and specific orthodontic needs. We will then work together with you to create a unique treatment plan based on 3D diagnostic images and a thorough exam. Finally, we will discuss the estimated cost for treatment to make sure it fits into your budget.
You can expect the appointment to include
- A thorough dental and medical history review
- A comprehensive oral exam
- Digital images and an evaluation of your teeth and surrounding structures using our iTero scanner to get a complete look at the issues before we come up with a treatment plan
- A discussion of financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
- Answers to any questions you may have
Before the first visit, please take a few minutes to fill out the required health history form on our patient registration page. Taking care of this beforehand takes only a few minutes and will maximize the value of your time with us. The appointment usually takes about 50 minutes, and we ask that you please arrive a few minutes early to complete additional paperwork (if any). If you want us to help you with insurance, be sure to bring your dental insurance information—it is common for plans to offer benefits for orthodontic treatment these days!
If you haven’t done so yet, feel free to contact us today to schedule your complimentary consultation appointment!
3D Scanning
At Warren Orthodontics, we use highly advanced technology and equipment like 3D scanning. This allows us to view highly detailed images of the structure of your teeth and mouth so that we can provide accurate treatment and effective results.
Instructions
When you’re the proud new owner of a spectacular set of braces, aligners, or any other appliances from Warren Orthodontics, you will receive detailed care instructions from your orthodontist and the team, including demonstrations on how to care for your teeth now that you’re in treatment with us, how to keep your appliances clean and working their best, and what foods to avoid. Whether you have traditional braces, headgear, Invisalign®, or any other appliance, it’s important to follow the instructions carefully, and these instructions will vary depending on the treatment and appliance you are receiving. For your convenience, we also include these instructions here.
We wouldn’t be an orthodontist practice if we didn’t also remind you that in addition to following your instructions, practicing great oral hygiene while in orthodontic treatment is also fundamental to the success of your outcome. We recommend brushing your teeth at least 3 to 4 times a day, after each meal and before going to bed, and a daily floss, too. Please see our Braces FAQ for additional information about caring for your braces and appliances. Also, take a look at our Life with Braces section for even more useful information. As always, we’re here to answer your questions and help guide you, so give us a call or stop by any time. You’re part of the Warren Orthodontics family now, so don’t be shy!
